I didn't know that Adam Savage was a modeler... A bit long but, IMHO, worth watching.

Adam Savage has a background as a model maker for films, used to work for IL&M for a while and he does some incredible scratch builds of props for his own collection and for his Coz Play. As far as I remember that is, its a great tutorial on how to do some very nice work although he does have quite a bit of space in which to do his model making.

Will watch some more of his stuff. Thanks for the background on Savage, don't know much about him but seems like he's a true artist.

Here's the Industria Mechanika thread on here: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,34790.0/highlight,adam+savage.html where I posted the video link also. They do loads of cool stuff: always worth keeping an eye on them.

Adam Savage does pretty cool videos on tested.com, which get posted to their Youtube channel. Some of them are modelling, some are movie-prop builds and some of them are chat about movie/fandom/maker stuff. I'd bet that a fair percentage of them are of interest to a fair proportion of folk on here.
