In the stash I have found a resin nose/cockpit for a 1/72 Hawker Hunter, I think it's a twin seat conversion for the Matchbox kit.

If you can provide a good home for it let me know. A donation to cover any postage costs is all.

Doesn't the M'box Hunter already come with a two seat nose? OK, it's not that wonderful, so a resin upgrade would make sense.

Errmm, you might be right. Maybe it was for the Revell or Airfix offering?
I'll see about putting a picture up later and we can identify it!

If it's moulded in white it'll be the Airconversions set, which quite ancient but really good as it was produced by the Modeldecal team. If it's in grey it'll be the A2Z conversion and that's the BUSINESS!

A2Z?  Odds and Ordnance do two superb conversions in 1/72 - thinking of them perhaps?

if its for the matchbox kit it could even be one of the maintrack clones I did for you lot a few years ago.

Yes, sorry, that is the one I meant.

I never know where A2Z stops and O&O begin, what with them both being Scottish....  ;D

Good point OGL.

Is it a side by side two seater or a tandem two seater Nick?

Not any more. What was A2Z is now owned by Alec Smith of the Brampton massive. So its now a naturalized English outfit ;D

The Wooksta!

It could be one of mine.  I moulded the Matchbox cockpit with a rudimentary tub rather than use plastic card all the time.  IIRC, all the castings used the Smoothcast stuff.

Nick

It is a side-by-side twin seat with a large tab at the rear, moulded in very nice smooth white resin. I was given it at a show several years ago by either Lee or Martin.

Well, if no one else wants to offer it a new home, i may as well put me hand up!
Would it be criminal to use it on an old Frog kit? And, is there a canopy for it, or would i have to source one?

The frog kit been starring at me for a while now in the 'to do' pile, and i had decided on silver and day glo, IAC scheame, but,
wanted something a little different for it!

The Wooksta!

Definitely mine.  Still got the mould somewhere.

Major, try Aeroclub, as he did a canopy for the Hunter T7 at one point.
