From a large HS in Adelaide at the weekend.
ICM 1/72 Tupolev SB2
Fred

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose free will.

Revell Shuttle Launch Tower is pretty big too (box is ~ 1 m wide), and there's that Dragon 1/35 Dora railway gun...

Not seen the Shuttle box but yes the Dora is huge. Must check how big it is in comparison. Cheers Haro

Bandai's Gundam Denbrobrium kit was... big, too. The box even came with an integrated handle!

And then there was the 1:144 "Neo Zeong" kit(?) last year...

The cart was not included, but it turns into something like this:

I remember when Heritage did their 1/24 Lancaster, I saw a guy leaving the halls with a gigantic box.  Probably not as much volume as the Dendrobium box, it was less deep but much longer and wider and proving a very awkward shape for the guy, he was struggling and I hope it wasn't windy when he got out the centre!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

the volume of the bag I saw Geoff's stuff in wasn't that big!  ;D

incide :tank: tially apart from the one heritage had made up, has anyone ever seen this kit made and across several tables at a show? I know I haven't.

I recall banging my leg on a box in Bognor Regis Models. It turned out to be the 1/35 Dora Super Heavy Railway Gun from Soar Art Workshop.

Boasted as being the worlds largest plastic kit, this box was the size of a family sized suitcase and twice as heavy.... the buyer needed a hand trolley to take it out to his car.

First pic gives the size of this thing... http://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/2199-135-dora-railway-gun-800mm/

A little too pricey for me but if you want to add a little 1:1 scale to the stash....

One of the Bedford club members has built that Dora kit not long after it was released. Its bleedin huge!. He built a near coffin sized box to transport it. then changed his car for a very large estate car (thats a station wagon for our colonial cousins) so that the box could fit in it.

And a few years ago at the Brampton show, he went and brought a second Dora kit! Only for it to cost him dearly when his wife found out. She keeps Shire horses. He ended up having to buy her another one just to keep the peace.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.
