Too late for the GB though!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

My dad served on the land-based equivalent of those, known as Z-Rockets, during the war.

On one occasion, they fired their salvo at German bombers approaching London, from their position on one side of the Thames, to no great effect. About an hour after the raid ended, a staff car rolled up and disgorged a red-faced major who demanded to see their CO. Raised voices were subsequently heard from inside the command post. Apparently all the spent rocket tubes from dad's battery had fallen onto the major's conventional AAA battery on the other side of the river, causing merry hell...

Dad was Royal Artillery. When the Z-Rockets began to be handed over to the Home Guard, he was moved onto AA gun-laying radar and stayed on that duty for the rest of the war.

The simple rule of gravity..what goes up must come down 😆 🤣
In case on the other side of the Thames  lol😄
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Already an anachronism when designed and built.
;)

Does the whole turret elevate to aim the gun on the T58?

Could be a bit uncomfortable for the crew, but I doubt they took crew comfort into consideration then.

An oscillating turret ( think French AMX13)  is very sensitive to weight problems.   Wiki sayeth  "When multiple problems were discovered in the turret oscillation system on account of the excess weight of the heavily armoured turret and the gun, the project was dropped."    I understand that an autoloader and one piece ammunition meant a maximum warload of 15 to 18 rounds.  A 30 round per minute rate of fire is problematical if  all the ammunition is gone in 30 to 36 seconds.

Having said that, the French oscillating turrets, FL-10, FL-11 and FL-12 were very successful, being fitted with a range of guns from 75mm to 105mm, and to a range of vehicles, some of which were produced in serious numbers. The early turrets (on the EBR-series armoured cars) had manually loaded 75mm guns, but the rest had a 12-round auto-loader in the turret bustle which had to be reloaded from the outside.

Austrian Steyr SK-105 tank destroyer with French FL-12 turret (105mm gun) in Brazilian service:

Egyptian Sherman retrofitted with the French FL-10 turret (75mm):

May have been anachronisms when built but, I like this kind of anachronism ;)  ;D . It's also why I like companies like Takom. I'm less enthusiastic though about the 5 zillion part tracks!! :-\ Thst said, I DID buy another anachronism, the TAKOM P.1000 Ratte which has 1068 track links.......!!! :banghead:  Caveat Emptor! ;D

Really?  A Priest?  I can't see much similarity myself.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Oh yes, they both have guns as well.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Mossie

It got me scratching my head. The side skirts and raised rear deck give a good look.
A thought I've often had for whiffing tanks is if it usually has side skirts leave them off, if it doesn't, add them. It makes a surprising difference to the look.
