I don't think it's photoshopped (but I could easily be wrong), however there is the possibility that the real(?) thing actually has wheels hidden away underneath (or PS-ed out)

Some cracking stuff on there!

How I wish they'd done these two!

Indeed, some terrific stuff there, but I do feel bankruptsy lurking!

Knowing Hillman Imps and their derivatives as intimately as I do (I've owned half a dozen of them in my time...) I just re-read the art work here :-

'Chassis'?

The Imp doesn't have a chassis, it's an integral bodyshell!  :o

And I hope it's 'Moveable Hoods' too, as the 'Exact Scale Engine' is in the back!

Still have a few in my backlog.

By Mad Martin found on the "ARC Aircraft Resource Center" page.

"More pictures of my finished "what if"-Fighter: Modified „FFR-41MR Yukikaze“ from a japanese Anime-series in the classic „Jolly Rogers“-scheme of the F-14A Tomcat. The basekit was from Platz, with parts from a F22 and a F18. Scale is 1/144. :-)"

Pretty impressive for gross scale!

Ah, he has a giant match...

It is very impressive.  Was it Macross originally?

That was my guess at first but he said he mixed up extra parts with a Platz kit and I am wholly unfamiliar with Platz.

Search "FFR-41MR Mave" to find the base aircraft.

Thanks Brad F.
Yukikaze looks interesting.  Is it worth a look?

Hehehe, I can imagine it.

To add more confusion, one of the Morris Motors apprentices in my Tech Class bought an Imp body shell from the Pressed Steel Scrap Shop and put a Mini engine and transmission in the FRONT!  :o

It was so good it made an issue of Custom Car magazine one month.

A friend  of a friend  put a chevy big block in the front  of a hilman imp, I  haven't seen it,  but I have seen one of his  other creations.  A 400+ horsepower  Subaru impreza powered  Vauxhall  viva.

WHAAATTT?  :o

With him sitting in the back seat I guess? The big block would have been WAY longer than the hood of the Imp!

I haven't seen it but I will ask if my friend has any  pictures  of it, if so I will put them on here. My friend  has done  a few weird  and  wonderful  conversions too. One  of his latest  being  a Hillman  superminx which he has put an mx-5 engine and  gearbox in.
