Thanks Alastair, that does look pretty good, better internal detail than the ones I have for sure.

Chalk and cheese Kit. There is also a two layer IO to go in as well, will probably test fit the combing Monday.

Thought I better add a picture showing where I had to reduce the thickness a little to improve the fit

The rear edges at the bottom were also adjusted so the weapons bay would fit as well as the white areaswhich were adjusted to ease the cockpit tub to fit.

I keep getting supprised by the quality of the camera in my phone. of course hand shake is more of an issue than with my DSLR camera which I have a tripod for but it is usually at hand and the picture is also automatically uploaded to the cloud from which I can resize and otherwise adjust and post to the picture host I use and post to here from my pc without plugging the camera into the PC. Simples!

I got an email from a fellow in France today. He has a kit I ordered from Special Hobby, I received his kit weeks ago and have already posted his to him so asked that he post mine to me. That's almost two weeks difference in arrival time between the kits.
It's not the longest time I have have had to wait on a kit which has been posted to the wrong address. I did win a Hasegawa 1/72 F-4E Israeli Air Force version and received an RF-4E Israeli Air Force kit. The route and distance travelled by that kit by the time it got to me was quite large as it didn't of course get sent to me directly and must of travelled around half of Europe to eventually get to me a couple of months later. I had almost forgotten that I was waiting on it by the time it arrived.  :o

A bit more work carried out on the TF-102 which when setting up for the following pictures showed me that there is still a little of the interior to remove so that everything can fit properly.
First off a little repair due to the inside of the fuselage being a little bit tight in one place, it still needs to be sorted

Bet you can't spot the difference..... well ok, maybe you can...

And in place

It's dark in there but you get the idea

I'm not to sure about the gap at the nose end of the cowling  :-\ with the glazing that goes on there the gap will be seen and I have no idea at the moment what if anything should be there.

P.S. After a five minuite search on the web I have an answerto my own question

Oxygen bottle?  Gyro compass?

Had a nother little fettle with the cockpit tub as I wasn't happy with the way it sat inside the fuselage. Also found there was an area to the rear of the cockpit sides that looked as if the tub should have been there but I can't find out if this is right or not partly as I have very little reference on this aircraft and can find nothing on the web to answer this question or the one about the sphere.

Anyway, here is where it is now

I was not as carefull as I should have been when grinding back the inside as you can see, nothing that can't be sorted though.

Oxygen bottle?  Gyro compass?

It does look a bit like a LOX pot, but Im not sure it would be positioned there, not so easy for access.
My thoughts, it could be an accumulator,  to assist with raising and lowering the canopy?

Regards
Keith.
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Here is a little teaser for you. It will probably take several years to come to fruition but it should be worth the wait. I intend to turn a An-124 into a C-5A! One of my recent purchases was the American Secret Projects3, which deals with airlifters since 1962. Even though I am going to build the model in 1/144 the length will be 18.5" with a wingspan of 17.916" with the height being 5.716" which compairs favourably with the Revell An-124 kit representing a length of 226.75feet, wingspan of 240.5feet and height of just over 69 feet.
I have had to use two sheets of A3 paper to print the fuselage side view out in 1/144 scale which took several attempts, both of the final pages used have had both sides previously used. I am so glad I bought a printer that could handle A3 paper, the logistics of trying to stitch several sheets of normal A4 paper together to do this would have been rather challenging.

You need an Otaki C-5 kit Alastair.

Ah, yes, you probably don't have a World Bank account though......

Good luck on your return. I'm not furloughed but am working reduced hours from home. Not sure if I'm ready to face the outside world again!
