Thankfully, it was a Torqueflite box on a 225 ci slant 6,  and she took it very well.

To quote a Chrysler test engineer I met in the late 60s.....

As an engineer that tells that it was too expensive. They could have pulled significant cost out of it.

This is Chrysler we're talking about, they didn't 'do economy'.  ;D  ;)

Not much happening. Life goes on. I have noticed that all postings that are older than today have disappeared, I usually delete posts I have not read by opening a new tab for each post, followed by closing each tab without reading them. I usually keep a day or two's worth just in case there is something that I am interested in that I may have not got around to reading. This afternoon, UK time, everything other than todays are gone! Most peculiar.
I am rather pised off at Evri. I bought an Airfix A-4B Skyhawk from eBay, and the seller said they sent it two weeks ago. The Evri app said they received it at the delivery depot on monday just before 10 at night. Since then, they have said that they have had to reschedule the delivery, which is supposed to go to their Parcel Shop, not my home, so no excuse for not finding my home, my not being in, etc. I do not like this company, have not for ages and am worried that another item bought from eBay might suffer the same fate. I will be contacting them on Tuesday if I have not heard anything, as that will have been a week since they received the parcel at the delivery depot.
Although I said at the start of this blog entry that not much is happening. I was referring to my life. A few doors down the road, was raided by the police just after I got home from a quick dive out to the shops. I noticed the police presence as I drove home; four units had assembled near a local shop, but obviously, I had no idea where they were going at the time. It's been quite some time since anything like that livened up the street.

I have all the unread stuff disappear from time to time... it means I have to scroll through from the main menu from time to time, but it is what it is.

You can speed up marking things as read by using the tick box on the far right of the Topics screen.  Select the ones you want to mark as read and then click "mark selected read".

I have to read every post   ;)

As for Evri Alastair, I've had exactly the same problems with them both times they were meant to be delivering something. They sat on it at their depot for days  :banghead:

I now try to avoid them if possible. I still find Royal Mail/The Post Office to be reliable and am glad the Big H still use them.

They just took ten DAYS to take a small envelope of decals from Northants to Lee's place, posted First Class too. I could have delivered it on my BIKE faster!  :banghead:  :banghead:

Chris, I would have thought you would have emphasized the word have  ;D

Everi now have a second eBay purchase. I want to find their delivery depot for my area so I can go there and ask why are they not delivering to my area?

Anyway, something that I should have posted yesterday, but I kept forgetting about, was that I went into the loft to retrieve my S&M kit of the Canberra T.4 that I have. This then got me wondering where the other kits I have based on that kit were as well, only my list of items in the "Loft" tab of my spreadsheet drew a blank, as did the "Store Room" tab.
So I eventually started to scroll through every single entry listed in the "Loft" tab and found that there was a box missing. So up into the loft, find the box, bring it back down and catalogue the contents. When I opened the box I found the kits I was looking for, and a couple of others that I had forgotten I had  :banghead:  That now means I have a spare of a Lynx that I can rob parts from for an old build entitled "The Last F.A.R.T" Anyway, I removed the kits I was after and replaced them with some others and made the relevant entries to the list. Then I thought that I had better update the "Master List" tab.
Oh what an idiot I had been, The missing box was in the Master List all along  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead: I should have looked there when searching for the kits I was after. On the plus side, I got the kits I was looking for, and refreshed my memory about the Master List rather than the simple lists I keep of each area.

That's ok, we Italicized it in our heads... or was that just me?  ;D

There 'safe place 'and photos of the location should include GPS coordinates, well at least they have stopped putting my parcels in the wheelie bins.

That is no help if the courier is not moving the item in my direction. The whole situation is getting silly. Other couriers are getting in on the act as well. Royal Mail notified me that they were delivering a parcel on Saturday. I picked it up on my way home yesterday. Evri in the meantime have still to update the previous item and now have another item for me to the same destination which was "out for delivery" yesterday, and still is "out for delivery". I shall be phoning them tomorrow afternoon when I have time to do so.
