Super Hunter in Vietnam
« on: December 15, 2012, 10:07:27 am »
Following the disastrous performance of the YF-100A Super Sabre, a competitive flyoff was organised of the aircraft against the Super Hunter, the latter was duly selected and licence built for the USAF as the North American F-100B. Here is an example from the twilight of its career when it was being used as a fighter bomber with the 307th TFS, 31st TFW in Vietnam.

Very nice!

And you beat me to it.  I've been planning the same build (although RAF with Firestreaks) since gathering all the bits at least a year ago. Hoped to be the first but I've paid the price of prevarication!

I will plod o regardless though.

I doubt it as I might get around to building mine by the end of the century at the pace I build stuff.
