I came across this website that might potentially hold a lot of useful information.  I say potentially because my attempts to find stuff using the search function have not been too successful.  It seems you have to pretty much know what you're looking for.

Saying that, I came a listing of publications, in which I found a picture and description of the proposed VSEL GBG 30 Sea Dragon CIWS (which is how I found the site).  There's a bunch of Vickers Shipbuilding internal magazine that might contain some interesting stuff amongst the usual mundane company affairs, plenty of other things too.

One thing that's fairly easily accessible from the front page is the Vickers photo archive.  This is a potential goldmine, all sorts of stuff including actual weapons and mock ups:

Have fun browsing, I've only had a short look.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Dock Museum is worth a visit,  with very helpful staff and a good cafe.  It's  shut Monday and Tuesday.  Barrow is 50 miles from anywhere else, but if you are in the Lake District.........

Amended later....

We had some discussion about this museum earlier,  here:-

I will be in Barrow next month for a Xmas M.A.G do, so if I am in a fit state I might go visit that the next day.
