Quote from: Gondor on November 02, 2025, 07:13:13 AMJust found out that a build thread that I am following on Britmodeller, of a Vulcan, is not going to be flown by the usual crew.

I'm pretty sure that was on the Southend IPMS table near us at Telford. I know I have a photo of it. Looks very good in the flesh. I should have put my SAAF Hunter next to it  ;)

The guy who built that SAAF Vulcan was chatting to us on the SIG stand late on the Sunday.

I like that one, you'd never have figured it was the old Hawk kit. He made a great job of it, and a decent backstory too.

I did the instant I saw it, I've built a couple. Not the most accurate, but certainly good enough for whiffing purposes.

Did they copy the backstory also? If not it was a nice job. Of course, how could they go wrong with one of dizzy's builds!

Cars are not my thing but it is strange that you have to work hard to find finished A-Wing models.

That's pretty cool ! Defo different and would turn a few heads and get the Star Wars crowd thinking.

Cool.

But it would probably be as craptastic as the majority of the streamlined rail dragsters.
🤣

It looks better like that, than as a stock A-wing...

Not a whiff, but certainly whiffable. Or whiff-fodder? Whatever, a very nice Valom HP Sparrow over on Britmodeller, so if any of you were thinking about one, have a look.
