It's like a half width EA-6B canopy to look at, weird.  :o

I agree, it looks painted on to opaque plastic (maybe from a drop tank - speaking of which, they look like Soviet tanks, like on a Su-25).

Yup, and it has certain similarities with the stillborn, turbocharged Su-3 fighter (note the radiator outlet behind the cockpit!):
