I have the Flintstone Studebaker Starliner Salt Flat conversion and the 1/25th Goldenrod.

The Salt Flats Hornet is tempting.
Maybe a turbine car as it's reminiscent
of a super-sized Rover Jet 1.

Some intriguing items there, I wonder if his future 'Goldenrod' is the Summers Brother's car?

I just may have four Hemis knocking about in The Loft....................  ;D

The Goldenrod is the Summers Brothers car and it's been available for years. I have one and it's a single, solid lump o'resin. An interior would require a major hollowing out session.
Here it is with the 1/24th Profil24 Irving-Napier and the old 1/24th Monogram Chapparal as a size reference.

That reminds me.  I have a Revell Challenger 1 on the shelf of procrastination...

Yeah, me too. But every time I look at the instructions and try to figure out how to get those four Pontiac mills in the chassis, I put it back in the box!

I've got past that stage.  i think it was lining up the exhausts that stymied me.
Wiring four engines was a chore.
The instructions are unchanged since it was first released.

How about this bit of visual Whiffery?  :o

It was captioned 'RAF Light Strategic Bomber - 1971' and popped up when I was browsing a slot car forum! It looks like artist kicked off with two Lightning fuselages and added Tornado wings, then went on from there.

Interestingly in the far distance is a single fuselage version too, but maybe an escort fighter?

I'm darned if I'd ever manage to build it, but it's surely 'different'.

'Different' is a good word.

A Zwilling Lightning/Tornado Thingummy? Tophe would have loved it!  ;D

Also looks vaguely Macross-ish.  I'm sure Dizzy could have something knocked up in less than a couple of weeks

I thought that too, the twin angled fins and the extra ventrals etc.

And the Tomcat-esque tunnel.  Looks like you could stick a pair of collapsed mech arms in there.

Well, this is certainly taking the term "aircraft carrier" to a whole new level.  :o  ;D

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.
