I don't know quite where to go, hopefully I'm om the right thread . . .

I'm looking for injected plastic OR resin kits for early U. S. and ESPECIALLY Soviet Union, specifically IRBMs, ICBMs, early satellite launchers, etc . . .

Any online vendors anyone mught suggest?  Other than Real Space, New Wae U Anigrand?

MAny thanks in advance!

Also, feel free to PM.

If you can afford his prices there's a whole page at oldmodelkits.com In the search box select the Spacecraft Missiles category.

Revell has rereleased a bunch of their old stuff over the last few years.  Probably can find some of it in the local shops or shows.

You could look through this website, but I wouldn't say they're cheap either.

And there's always Muroc Models if you can find their new website, this is the old link though.

I spotted New Ware a while ago when looking for an Atlas ICBM.  They do kits and upgrades for many rockets/missiles.  Cheaper than some, but shipping might be expensive.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Some of them should be relatively easy to turn up on a lathe if you have that skill...
Never ignore toy shops and $2 shops - my local one seems to have an inexhaustible supply of cheap plastic Saturn Vs...
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Oops, just saw you said 'other than New Ware', sorry!

Just remembered, Airfix are re-releasing several of their 1/144 rocket kits, the Vostok, Saturn IB & Saturn V (one with Skylab, one with Apollo).  Also, Glencoe do kits of the Explorer I & Jupiter C.  The Saturn V's will be expensive simply because of their size, but the rest should be affordable.  You might see some others released as part of the Apollo 40th Anniversary, I know Revell have several Apollo kits out, as well as Tamiya.

B.W. Models in the UK do a white metal 1/76 Thor missile with Leyland Hippo transporter, it's not cheap (around £45/$70US).  They also do an Honest John.  I think Sharkit do a Davy Crockett nuclear mortar too, again, not cheap.

Someone did a small scale set of US & Soviet nukes, I've seen it on the Cold War SIG stand at shows.  I can't remember who released it, what scale or if it's easily available I'm afraid.

Trumpeter do a 1/35 SA-2 Guidline, there was a version with a nuclear warhead IIRC.  Dragon do a 1/35 Scud launcher.

Not US or Soviet, but you should be able to get hold of Blue Steel fairly easily if someone has one the Airfix kit & doesn't need the nuke.  I let mine go I'm afraid.

Here is a link to the The List:

As you will note the launchers are dominated by Real Space and New Ware, and in many cases if they haven't done it, it doesn't exist.
