NUMA copter....

I love Cilve Cussler's novels, especially those about the NUMA (Nationa Underwater Marine Agency) that seems like a "NASA of the seas". ALl the vehicles, Jeep Cherokee, executive jets and copters (without ever citing the brand we are always in his novels) are turquoise. I imagine that the copter had a orange tail and nose, seems like a generic navy livery.
And so I built a 1/48 model (ESCI model) whit my probable NUMA livery. This is only a test. I'm open to your suggestions

Great Job!!!! You may want to Either get a Stencil or some Dry Transfer Letters and do Closer to Military Lettering for NUMA!!!!!! Your Call on that. Just a Suggestion for Your Consideration.

Thank u, cobra!! is only a first attempt. The writing I do not like but I thought a font type U.S. Navy ... I'm not even sure that the BO-105 is fine: it would be better a 212?

In one book they do mention a MD Explorer chopper, and I seem to recall a Bell 47 mentioned. Great NUMA chopper though! I wonder why I never thought of doing one?

MiB

MD Explorer of NUMA or of new charatecher: the "Corporation"?
The Explorer is very ugly and I thinking about a model can operate aboard of NUMA's ship: twin-turbine, cargo capabilities, light, speedy.....Twin Heuy (maybe Marines surplus gifted to NUMA) or Kaman Seasprite and Sikorsky SeaKing (NAVY surplus for example)  ;D

Getting there MiB :)

I still think a tad more green is required.

Try R = 16, G =  205 and B = 225 for the RGB settings.

In that case I suspect its the lighting in FS9 or FSX that's at fault. Those RGB figures were taken off the self same sample.

I do repaints for FS aircraft and scenery as well and the percieved colour can change according to where you take the screenie, the direction of the sun and various other things. Maybe taking the screenie at noon with the aircraft pointing due east or west with the screenie taken from the south will produce an accurate colour?

Your screenie is taken from the opposite side to the sun, you can see the shadow toward you in the pic.

And please don't shout at me, I'm only trying to help............

THK, but its only a prototype. I must eliminate the white parts and recolour the orange parts. And I must create a right pilot with right shirt! Any sugggest? :D
Finally I think that the same copter of T.C. (remember Magnum P.I.?) was the right Numa model
