I know now where it was used.  Someone either sent this to me or it was posted on a forum sometime ago and it wasn't identified.  But last night I was watching an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie called 'The Sixth Day' and there it was.

The movie is about the main character ( Schwarzenegger) being cloned and his family kidnapped and is set sometime in the future.  The rest of the movie is typical Schwarzenegger.

Cheers....

Robert, it's called a 'Whispercraft'.  Allen Ury at Fantastic Plastic kits it:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I've got one of those kits from Fantastic Plastic.  It's ok, but the rotors aren't long enough, and they went the cheap way with the gear (making only gear for one side, but not the other, as well as the gear doors.  It took some fiddling to make it work).  The fit is good other than that.

I'm doing mine up as a near-future LAMPS bird (figure the jet engines would make it a fast response ASW platform).  Was thinking of redoing it as a USCG fast response helo, though.

I've had a look at the parts in Simon's link and I don't see any bits that are not 'handed' Anthony, but then again which parts are the gear doors?  The u/c legs in the picture look handed though.  It would be a pity to fork out US$68 and then find parts aren't correct.

Anthony, maybe yours got packaged wrong, I have the kit and it has definate left and right landing gear. I agree the blades could be longer but just a smidge, I could get away with just a bit of styrene at the tip.

Mine is still in the line-up waiting to be built, I just watched that movie the week before last. I keep thinking a nice stealthy paint job but it has lots of possibilities.

I got two right side gear struts and two right side gear doors.  The door halves as they go on the fuselage aren't the same size, and the two sets of doors I got are definitely from the same side.

Maybe I did get the same ones by accident, I dunno.  I sorta made it work.

A friend of mine bought that kit, and when I saw it, I just chuckled. Lot of money for a so-so kit.
