Hey Capt.....

Are you in Toronto???

I am heading up there in a couple of weeks, and although I run my own Hobby business, I still check out the shops in new places I go....get ideas, and such, and you never know when you are going to find something cheaper than you can get it elsewhere, or something that you can't get.

Other than the usual bigger name shops like Keith's Hobby Shop, Hornet Hobbies, and North Star....where should I go???

Thanks

Nah, he's in Sarnia, I'm in Toronto. Well, Pickering actually, but we're annexing Hogtown next year. If you want to hit all the shops you'll need a couple of days, and Aviation World is a day out in itself.

Hey Toad, should I take him to Arizonas?  :P

I think Great Lakes Hobby and Train in Utica, MI.  has them for around $25 US.  I'll probably stop by there sometime in the next week to make sure of the price.

Sounds good !

$25 US, eh ? That would only be $24.75 CDN ! Been a long time since we've been able to say that!

;)

And with less than half the tax.....I'd be able to buy two !

Yes, Minicraft are seriously overpricing their products IMHO.  The Herk was designed by a guy who is a big airliner enthusiast (you'd know his name...).  Not perfect, but quite nice overall.

£22 on Hannants.  Not had a proper look at the kits to see what's inside.  But not as good value as one from RoG would be, about the same as Trumpeter charge for similar size kits in this scale.
