Just seen from my girlfriends  street,  flying from  Blackpool airport,  a saab Viggen and  a smaller  aircraft  which  I  couldn't  recognize  it was a small 1950's looking  bird,  possibly  F-86, mig-15 or maybe  even a  saab Tunnan. It sounded  nice  whatever it was.

Sounds like the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight, they a Viggen, I think the ONLY flying Viggen, and a Tunnan similarly.
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

I  did think after seeing the  viggen it could  have been a  tunnan, but I   couldn't get a  proper look at it  as it was flying around.  I am quite  chuffed to have  seen them though. Cheers for the  clarification Kit

Most probably the same pair that came here to Prestwick in 2015
The Viggen did not fly in the display that year but the Tunnan did, Gorgeos!!

Oh that our Air Force would do a similar thing.

Imagine an RAF Display Team flying a Meteor, Vampire, Javelin, Hunter, Lightning, Phantom, Harrier, and Tornado.

Not to mention a Canberra, Victor AND a Vulcan.

I can dream I suppose..............

That would  be an amazing thing  to see and hear, as much as I like  seeing the ww2 aircraft  flying,  I  would love to  see more cold war birds in the air.

Swedish Air Force Historic Flight is only "semi-official":

"Swedish Air Force Historic Flight (abbreviated in Swedish as SwAFHF ) is an association that flies former Swedish Air Force aircraft and maintains them in an airworthy condition.[1] SwAFHF has been active since 1998 and is housed in premises of the Skaraborg Air Force Wing (F 7).[2] SwAFHF is authorized by the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration and the aircraft have civilian Swedish aircraft registration."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_Air_Force_Historic_Flight

"the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight (SwAFHF), which while partially funded by sponsorships, donations, membership fees and air show proceeds, also receives support and cooperation from the Swedish Air Force, operating as the Flygvapnet’s defacto historical wing,
...
The SwAFHF is composed of volunteer pilots and technicians, and the fleet is divided into two main branches, the military jets and the civilian jets. The division is mainly due to operations as well as funding.

Went out to drop by at the grocery store. A medical helicopter was preparing to take off from the school yard. And then it took off and seemed to head for the hospital (and not the airport which is more usual).

Lucky.
I was in a good spot, walking around the schoolyard, when the time for take-off came. And the camera phone agreed to get some sort of a focus.

I'd decided not to stop, stand and stare, like a few dozen others. For a while, the nurse / pilot's assistant was standing some distance in front of the helicopter to ensure nobody does anything stupid near the machine.

Mid afternoon in Leominster, a pair of  V-22 Ospreys. (Noisy little blighters, aren't they!) It looked as though they had taken off from Shobden and were heading towards either the SAS place at Credenhill just outside Hereford, or possibly further south west to the SAS adventure playground at Pontrilas on the Welsh border.  Both hands full of the weekly shop, so I couldn't get to the camera.
