Saw another Voyager land at YYC yesterday, and then this morning a convoy of four Greyhound buses drove past where I was and went to the apron where the Voyager was parked. Then about an hour and a half later it took off again.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Saw 12-16 Apache fly directly over the house.  So many that I actually had a chance to find my phone, turn it on, open the picture app, wait for it to load, and still catch a couple pics!!

Camera never does justice.. ....     These guys were ~1,000 feet AGL.  It was cool! I see Blackhawks quite often but these guys only fly by a few times a year during exercises and such.

TONIGHT, though....  it's after dark, so no pictures... but I went outside and hear the notorious growl produced by AFTERBURNER. I look to the west and about 15 miles out and maybe 10,000 feet I spy 3, either full-on fighter jets, or the T-38 trainer. These 3 aircraft are chasing each other around in circles. At first, it was a bit haphazard.....  sort of like a mock dogfight but toward the end they all fell into a circular pattern that had them raising and lowering altitude as they went in circles. The whole time, off in the background, I could see the strobes from something that had to be something observing/watching/whatver. AWACS maybe, I dunno.... refueling plane maybe.. who knows. We have tons of both in Oklahoma.

Long story short.. it was COOOOOOOOOOL. They didn't do it often, at all, but the few times they kicked on the afterburner was AWESOME. The sound from it.... and the glow, if it was going the right direction, made the plane look as bright as any star in the sky.

IF they were Talons, they're either out of Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX, or the other FTW base down in Texas that's relatively close by ( I can never remember this one... ) . If they're actually fighters... I have no idea!

Today heard an unfamiliar helicopter going over, so thought I would make the effort and go and have a look. Directly above my house but at quite a bit of altitude, 2 army Lynx's went over, I would say north to south. Not a  clue what mark they were, but had IR suppresors on the exhausts, and had fixed tricycle landing gears, couldn't see much else really

Apparently his bosses have had a sense of humour failure and is in trouble.

Personally ?  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

A pair of Tornadii, very noisy, fast and low;  heading towards the Welsh hills to play.

Last week, on holiday near Hull, a C 17 flying what looked like a series of racetrack circuits over Spurn Head.  The  circuits gradually progressed southwards.   It seemed to be a boring sortie for the driver!

Saw a Herk doing the same thing over the Ribble estuary off Lytham St Anne either last year or the year before, so it sounds like some form of exercise they do near river mouths.

1941 Grumman Widgeon flew over the shack today. Great article about her in our local independent rag, The Sarnia Journal. Once owned by American actor, writer, singer and bandleader Vaughn Moore ( who wrote the theme for Rawhide and the song Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow )

Lovely looking aeroplane and a lovely shot too, well done.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
