I hate to make everyone jealous, but just got overflown by one of the Fairford B2s  ;D ;D ;D It wasn't high either, maybe 10,000ft!

OK, we are jealous.  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Well...that's half a billion dollars of stealth bu**ered.  "Anyone fancy another sausage..oh look, there's a B2" ;D

A couple of Army Longbow Apaches tracked over the Severn this morning, heading your way Rheged, at a pretty low altitude, and looking VERY mean!

But when doesn't a Longbow Apache look mean?  :-\

Yup! They arrived at about 11:30, either side of a Chinook .    All heading towards the army playground in the Brecon Beacons.

Add to this, about an hour later, three Herculeses flying west at LOW (ie..stop threatening my chimney pots) altitude.  No reports on local radio of bloody insurrection and mayhem in Llandrindod Wells so I assume that the forces adventure playground out Brecon way is getting used.

Hm, I didn't see or hear a Chinook, perhaps it took a more southerly route from Odiham.

They sometimes park one overnight at Shawbury  and nip down to Credenhill next day to pick up their passengers. I understand that the helicopter school there occasionally has the odd task for them

Some of that may have been heading out towards the firing ranges in Wild and Woolly as there was an "incident" involving a tank with some casualties according to the Beeb. No farther information available and with the tower block fire it got submerged in the news.

At work Sparrows and Seagulls.
At home Kookaburras, Wattle Birds, Magpies, Indian Mynas, Ravens, Blackbirds and an Eastern Spinebill.

So just the regulars really.  No parrots today.

I saw a few first thing, annoying the squirrels. We've quite a colony of Green's in the woods next door.

That'd be nice.  Brighten up the place.  They look great flitting through the trees.
