That An-225 visits Canada quite often, it's been to Calgary a number of times this last couple of years

NARSES2

What looked like a Puma helicopter (I don't actually know but it wasn't airborne plod or ambulance) came in and landed about a mile away on the disused school playing fields. Still haven't heard it take off. They have done some filming down there before so it might be that. Noisy bugger
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

again, flyovers by a number of Belgian Air Force C-130H's, and this afternoon, a hostage evacuation exersize outside city hall, with 2 Belgian Agusta A109's landing in the street and later in the park  ;D

Now that raises you to a 'Spotter First Class' Cap'n,  considering there is only one An-225 in the whole world.

Sweet ! Do get a new badge or something ? lol. There were quite a few spotters coming and going when I was there.

Hm, I wonder how many PA28s you could cram into the An-225? Almost into triple figures I imagine.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I think that pic shows it landing, all the thrust reversers are open and the spoilers are up  ---

It is, but we're going for irony here

Who's asking who???
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I'm not even sure that the An-225 flies wholly aerodynamically. It's THAT big that its self-generated gravity field has to be counteracted by an anti-grav system or it would never get off the ground!

It is the first ever NOTAR I have seen in person, I was surprised as to how quiet it was, much of the noise given off from a normal heli must come from the tail rotor?

The Calgary Police uses one, it has a very distinctive sound and you could always tell when it was around.  Mind you, when it was circling around some suspected trouble, it made quite a racket ---
