Hey look ! Another one ! Quite the helicopter highway around here. These guys are doing a survey of the Caribou herds.

I've seen some of those herds on TV. You would need a paintball machine gun!

Are they tagged?  The reindeer that is not the choppers.  RFID chips would make the counting easier.
How to get them in though...

Traditionally (semi-domesticated) reindeer are earmarked:

"Basic ear marks (for both ears) that are used to construct a ownership ear mark. Bottom right ear mark is a constructed ear mark"

Getting wild caribou ( = wild reindeer) tagged/marked might be quite a project

Four bush fire fighting helicopters (2 x Squirrels and 2 x I believe Iroquois) just flew over, heading north, to I assume a bush fire.

big military exersise going on in town this week, had 4 C-130H's fly over here, theyre gonna stay at Ostend Airport for the entire week

Huge flock of Corellas (50 maybe?) at 6 this morning stopped for a breather and perched screeching in our gums.  They're not as noisy as their rellies the Cockatoos but they still like to announce themselves.

Had to stop and see the Lanc at Edmundston, NB again. Love the look of this one. I did a pretty thorough walk around, to get all the little greeblies in case I want to build one some day. Love all them lumps and aerials !

These guys were arounf on November 19th. Not sure if they were practicing for a Remebrance Day flypast or what. I heard that the Sabre was supposed to be back up, so maybe it was for that occasion. I haven't gottten down to the park to verify wether it's up or not.



One of them looked like an L-19 with USAF markings.




This one looked like a wee crop duster. Yellow nose but too hard/ dark. far away to see what else she's wearing

Then this guy did an overshoot of the Chris Hadfield airport, before coming back around and flying right over the city.
