...and the DIRCM and the paint job and the fin flash and the roundel ;-) I bet looking back at the photo, and now knowing, that the roundel is easy to spot !

I wish they'd paint a few green again. Lovely.

Seen over my house last night was something that puzzled me. It was definitely gifted with at least one propeller and what sounded like piston engine(s).What I found strange was the lights.
It had green light on the Port side (Wing?), a red one on the Starboard and another red light forward either on the fuselage or nose.
(It was after all, to paraphrase Snoopy of Peanuts fame, "A dark and cloudy night".
The lights all flashed with the Starboard and 'nose' light alternating and the port in time with the 'nose' light. Flashing navigation lights?
Am I thinking watercraft with Port being red and Starboard green?

Correct. Red to right is Wrong as I learned it.
Maybe it was flying inverted.

NOT   seen over my house today.  As of 1700 hours GMT today, I have NOT  seen the air ambulance!!!  This is unusual; I usually see it twice a day and more often at the weekends.

Or in reverse?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
