Waiting at Myrtle Beach Intl for our ( Spirit, delayed ) flight home an in quick succession an Osprey did a pair of touch and goes, then that cargo Sherpa ( or whatever you call a single finned Sherpa !) took off followed by that Prescott Herc ! Good show, chaps ! Good show.

They they are.  They were patrolling the NJ shore after Sandy, along with Sea Stallions, the NJSP's rotary wing fleet, and the Navy's blimp out of Lakehurst.

Saw a fighter way up there too....hope to see a little clearer when I download the pics to my computer. I'm guessing Harrier from Cherry Point but who knows.

Yeah! it was great seeing one of those last year at Yuma Todd.  Actually there was two, one in the static park and one doing a demo

I was SEVERELY beaten-up by an RAF Voyager while in a supermarket car park in Witney today. It was on the runway centre-line for Brize Norton but WAY too low! I'm amazed a couple of RR Trents could be so loud, and that's not the first time I've thought that about RR powered A330s either.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

A trio of Blackhawks, about a hundred and fifty feet up, passing over the local golf course.  Probably had a load of TACPs onboard, since they looked like they'd just left ACY

Sticky Fingers

Right, last C-130 pic from me for a while, promised, as I think it's my 3rd in a row. Don't want to get kicked off the forum for being a fanboy, because I'm not. Okay maybe I am. ;D

At the airbase in my backyard they're having a NATO exercise called Frisian Flag, and today I had some time to go and snap some pics. Hopefully I'll have some more time soon because my new 70-300 zoomlens will arrive tomorrow.
Anyway, took some crappy shots of the Finnish F18's and the Spanish Eurofighters, a couple of nice ones of some F16's, even got the Dassault Falcon 20 flown by Cobham (what a sweet sounding aircraft that is!).

After a couple of hours, when all fighters had taken off, I had to go home, so switched off the camera and slung it on my back, jumped on my bicycle and rode away from the base, towards my house.

Guess what gave chase...

In the time I noticed, braked, grabbed the cam, switched it back on and removed the lens-cap (hey, I remembered!) it was already overhead.
Then, when I came home, I had a look at the results. If you have the chance, zoom in on the props...

Pretty, huh?
The air was very moist, apparently  ;)

Captain Canada

You'll never get kicked out for Hercs ! Or Sea Kings

Again, another lovely angle on the Herc shot, as well as the Falcon. The F-16 looks awesome too. Great job !

Hi Trevor. I presume it's one of the C130H-30 from 336 squadron stationed at Eindhoven Airbase.
The only other one I spotted was a Norwegian SuperHerc C130J, last weekend:

Darn. Just broke my own promise of not posting anymore Herc-pics
