Had a Spit fly over my place earlier this evening, pretty cool looking.
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

Mrs_PR19 and I were at a friend's BBQ yesterday and they live high above the Severn on the Welsh side so we looked DOWN on the two Severn Bridges! Around 1400 hrs we heard a drone and down the valley came a Dragon Rapide!

One of the other guests 'identified' it as a 'Dakota'  :o so I just had to point out few differences, like the extra wing on the Rapide.....  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Got to love a bit of De Havilland!

The Portland coastie AW139 has been buzzing around today. Probably watching the traffic chaos that has gridlocked the town centre for most of the afternoon...

Ericson Aircrane on it's way to fight some brush fires somewhere between Bakersfield and Los Angeles. Also spotted the local air ambulance a Bell 407 outbound and then inbound. I'm kind of lucky as far as helos go, I work at the only Level 1 Trauma center between Bakersfield and Fresno so our flight deck sees around 3 dustoffs most days.

It's crop-spraying season around my parts, there's been one buzzing around for a couple of days, even came right over the house a couple of times as it transitioned to the field it was spraying.  Too low and quick for me to get outside with the camera though ---

got a wake-up call this morning by a low-flying Belgian Navy Alouette III.
and at lunchtime, on my way home from shopping for shirts, i stopped by the fence at Ostend Airport and spotted this beautifull Boeing Stearman/Kaydet.
i only had my pocket camera on hand, so sorry for the low quality.

GR4 Tornado heading northwards late/mid afternoon, Hammering along about 200ft up trying not to lose the M5.

Nice spot, Nils!

Saw the Red Arrows today, flying down Chesil Beach on the way to open the carnival in Weymouth. Saw a little bit of their smoke too, but as it's 10 miles from where I work it wasn't terribly exciting. Later on got buzzed by a Lynx Mk8.

Saw my brother off back to the UK today, he said he'll get back to Bournemouth just in time to see the airshow off the beach there this weekend ---

I'll be working, so I won't get to see it, but it's supposed to be quite good.

NOT SEEN OVER MY HOUSE TODAY!!!

This is the first day for months that I have NOT seen the local air ambulance helicopter!!!

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

NARSES2

A thumping great black rain cloud - had to put the lights on  :banghead:
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

JayBee

1830 ish, Prestwick, S.W. Scotland.
It is a lovely sunny Summer's evening.
The barbeque is lit and..
Mr. & Mrs. JayBee are sitting in the garden with glasses of wine.
An aircraft is heard having just taken off from Prestwick (only a mile and a half away),
piston but not a usual sound.
Then out from behind the trees comes..........

a HURRICANE.

AHH! Sigh for a Merlin.
(Apologise to the late Alex Henshaw)

We were both excited especially Mrs. JayBee as it was the first Hurricane she had ever seen.

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!
