Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Not today, but Thursday up at WGR.  A-10s out of Baltimore were doing some low-level strafes and bomb tossing (BDU-25s).

A-10's are good, familiar sight to me as a kid. They used to fly over my village regularly when they were based in the UK, on the way to a local offshore range.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Wooksta!

Pretty sure a Sikorsky H76 flew overhead yesterday when I was enroute to me Mam's.

Stargazer

Not over my house, but over my office... A set of Mirage 2000 fighters, an E-3F Sentry, a C-135FR tanker and three Transalls, all within 4 minutes!

CH-47 pulling out of ACY, heading WNW...not the occasional Blackhawk or regular Coastie Dolphin flitting about (CGAS Atlantic City)

Why don't you simply attend, then? If I lived nearby, I sure would be there early in the day and shoot as much as I could on the ground and in the air!!!

Hawkeye

Couple shots of a high flying B744 as it passed overhead. RJAA to KDTW = Narita, Japan to Detroit, MI. Its on the descent into Detroit, which is some 300 statue miles from my place as the crow flies.

Not over my house, but yesterday while having lunch on the patio at a Puget Sound side restaurant with an old friend,
the Museum of Flight's Douglas DC-2 flew over on its way home from the Arlington Fly-In. Heard the engines, looked up,
at first I thought it was a DC-3 and then I realized it was the DC-2 shining in the sun. A beautiful site.

Rheged

Seen over my house at least four times a week every week, the Great North Air Ambulance  Dauphin AS365 N2 helicopter  on its way to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle..........and most weekends at this time of year, the great yellow paraffin budgies of RAF Rescue (or its grey and red RN associate) as bent and broken mountaineers are shipped in from the Lake District.

I've had rescue helicopters  flying over me for MANY years,  even back to the Whirlwinds from RAF Acklington, which were overloaded when carrying a verbal message  .

I used to go out with the Mountain Rescue  many years ago, and I'd like to record my awe at the piloting skills of the  RAF and RN pilots who have been putting helicopters into impossible positions  to lift off injured climbers
