Oh that our Air Force would do a similar thing.

Imagine an RAF Display Team flying a Meteor, Vampire, Javelin, Hunter, Lightning, Phantom, Harrier, and Tornado.

Not to mention a Canberra, Victor AND a Vulcan.

I can dream I suppose..............

Swedish Air Force Historic Flight is only "semi-official":

Yes, but at least it exists...............

Went out to drop by at the grocery store. A medical helicopter was preparing to take off from the school yard. And then it took off and seemed to head for the hospital (and not the airport which is more usual).

Lucky.
I was in a good spot, walking around the schoolyard, when the time for take-off came. And the camera phone agreed to get some sort of a focus.

I'd decided not to stop, stand and stare, like a few dozen others. For a while, the nurse / pilot's assistant was standing some distance in front of the helicopter to ensure nobody does anything stupid near the machine.

Mid afternoon in Leominster, a pair of  V-22 Ospreys. (Noisy little blighters, aren't they!) It looked as though they had taken off from Shobden and were heading towards either the SAS place at Credenhill just outside Hereford, or possibly further south west to the SAS adventure playground at Pontrilas on the Welsh border.  Both hands full of the weekly shop, so I couldn't get to the camera.

Saw this a few evenings ago, the place is about 1.5 miles south of where I live. We had also seen them go out earlier in the day practicing their formation flying. The aircraft are a pair of Grob G109's.

I'm amazed the CAA let them do that!  :o

I wonder if they were the same two that were at RAF valley  a couple of weeks ago,  a friend  took pictures  of them,  they were U.S.M.C birds.

I spied with my little eye a BRIGHT YELLOW helicopter buzzing over the M6 near Coventry last Friday.

At first I wondered where the Air Ambulance was going to land amid the traffic  ;D and then I got closer. It was an EC135 checking the electric pylons for the National Grid.

While up in the Lakes I heard several low flying buzzes while in the pubs and shops but didn't see anything as per normal  , presumably a Typhoon or two.

A pair of V-22 Ospreys , heading west towards the Brecon Beacons , very low and very fast , probably came from the SAS base at Credenhill judging by the course they were flying.

I do not think they would have been 'phoons as they do not buzz. They would definitely shake the fillings in your teeth !

Crop duster was spraying a field 1/2 a mile away, his flight pattern brought him right over my house, he was a lot closer than what my photos show though --  I think he saw me taking pics, because he would fly right over me about a dozen times even though he had to move further away each time for his next spray line.

Looks like he was coming in for a strafing run !

Do you get the benefits of any over spray of fertiliser/insecticide when he's that close ? Or can it be a little dangerous ? I would have thought the latter.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Since we've been on the property (12 years now), they've never got closer than a field away with the spraying, although their flight route does take them over the property quite often as they have to get lined up for the next pass correctly.

But we've often 'smelt' the results, depends which way the wind is blowing. I'm not sure what the effects on humans are, the dusting has been done for years and the locals seem to be all OK  (twitch, twitch, twitch   ;D )
