Not quite like that. The Snowbirds don't go that fast and normally are pulling up to +5 G's max. No G-suit either. I did get the welcome back to the ground from the ground crew and rest of the team.

Yep, sometimes (most) there are days when I love my job!!

Cool ! Love the 415.

I was at our shop in Mount Pleasant, MI, and saw a Lakota tranist by. The guys say they are always going back and forth between the camp and the actual base.

Its a Military version of the Eurocopter EC145, that the US Army have bought replacing older types. They do appear to rather like it too from the sounds of it.

GASP! The US ARMY buying FOREIGN aircraft?!  :o What is the world coming to???
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Tail rotor or Fenestron? Google shows versions with both but I could have just seen some EC135's in the results I suppose, should pay closer attention such things.

The picture in the link shows a tail rotor

The EC-135 has the Fenestron shrouded tail rotor.
The EC-145 has the more traditional open tail rotor.

Built in Columbus, Mississippi and a small number also used by the USN, but, as with the Army, they are not used in combat roles.

The Army actually has a history of using "foreign" aircraft from DHC, Pilatus and Shorts.

Mainly by the National Guard as a supplement to the Blackhawk, where the larger chopper isn't financially feasible to fly.

Yeah, a court challenge was brought by one of the losers in the 'contest'; AgustaWestland because their product wasn't chosen.
A rare case of Euro on Euro bashing over a US military contract. ;)  ;D
