Had a delivery down to St. Thomas last night and drove by the airport, they were setting up already judging by the trucks parked all over the ramp. No show aircraft though, just all those ugly dusters!

Somewhere in my files I have a picture of a TBM there. Back in the 70's I went down with the jump club I belonged to, we were going to make a leap or two but the weather turned sour.

Not sure if I can make it, there's also the Aviation Expo at Oshawa this weekend.

Those Dusters are ugly, but in a good sort of way. It's funny just how big the darn things are when you get close to 'em ! It sure would be cool if they put on a demo !

Yes, it was a great time.....Catalina, Dakota, Chipmunk, yellow SAR Griffon, a pair of CF-18s ( incl. the specially painted demo bird ) 3 F-16s ( incl. the East Coast demo team ) KC-135R, C-17 ( the highlight of the show, if you ask me...what a mover ! ) plus the usual fare of civy types. The Snowbirds had some new moves, the Cobra being one I was surprised by. Lots of Army EQ, plenty of beautiful, scantily clad women.......

But since nobody gives a feck anyway, I won't bother posting any piccies !

Highlight of the show for me....C-17. Man, can that thing dance around the sky ! Did a touch and go, then landed, backed up and took off in about 16 feet ! We get our first one in August.....

Heh... that 135R isn't even from Selfridge!  Nothing like good ol' USAF efficiency:  Why send a plane from the nearest ANG base when one from ALABAMA will do  

Nice pics!  I especially like the last one.

Sounds like it was a good time, Toad!  Selfridge is shaping up to be not nearly as entertaining, though we've got the Super Hornet and Strike Eagle demo teams scheduled to do aerial performances.  No guarantees about them being on static display, though.
