This is possibly one of the best dinosaur kits I have ever seen !

Look at just the test fit !  Beautiful, and scales out very well to Paul's diagrams:

What scale?  If it is close to 1/32 or 1/35 scale you could do a little vignette with a 1/35th scale figure sporting a pith helmet and a Barrett .50 caliber rifle....

If you are doing a T. rex, it comes out about 1/40th (that would be "abuuute" if you are Canadian), but I am leaning towards an Albertosaurus (hey, what is this Canuck stuff?), so it would be about 1/24th.

I happen to have a live, 1:1 scale Albertosaurus right here, in fact (it was named after my Province where it was discovered).

PM me if you need any reference pics of "Baby."   :P

That kit does look way better than I would have given it credit for...how does it compare in terms of quality and realism to the Tamiya dinosaur kits, I wonder?

Is this a recent re-issue?

BTW, Albertosauri were known to have either a Molson's or Labatt's toque for winter survival.........

PS:   It's a crazy thing, but I've been itching to get something like this myself and completely redo the teeth.  Dentistry has a wonderful new filling material called Tetric-Evo-Ceram that is about as realisitic as can be.  In order to get really good at handling it, one *should* play with it first rather than go straight to clinical use...................

COOL! I've seen their stuff on the shelves every so often and thought about picking them up. I believe they do a Dimetrodon, not technically a dinosaur but my favourite.

Gonna do it with leafy roundels?

First off...I walked into the lhs to pick up a jar of rust paint for the Schnellboot, and while browsing (aka, avoiding the "honey-do" list at home) I saw this huge kit for...six bucks. Not kidding.
This kit blows the Tamiya stuff out of the water, in terms of ease of assembly, and more importantly, how correct it is ! Seriously, this thing scales out darn near perfectly, with all of the bumps in the right spots.
And of course, I picked the Albertosaurus libratus to hail my favourite neighbors!

Shanlyn is picking up some Canadian beer so I can fill in peace and quiet...have a sinkhole or two!
