Can anybody tell me of any aircraft  other (I'll get this in before somene states the obvious!) than the F-102 & F-106 that a have a two part windscreen split down the centre?  I'm after one for a project I've got in mind, but there are relatively few aircraft with them & I can only think of the SR.71 & the two I mentioned.

Thanks guys!

Simon.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Simon, Hannants has this conversion:

http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=XP003

It's for the TF-102 (I've got one too) and has a wider split screen for side by side seating.

And Mastercasters does a replacement Avro Arrow forward fuselage set which is also very good  (I've got a couple of these too)

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Thanks guys, specifically it's a single seat (although tandem might do) all-glazed canopy I'm looking for.  I'll give you a better idea of what I'm after by showing you a pic of my (potential) project:

Scanned from British Secret Projects: Jet Bombers

I thought at first the X-2 was the most likely candidate from the list, but I was looking at a pic of a replica, the real-thing was a bit different.  Buying an X-2 kit just for it's canopy would be a bloody expensive way of doing things too, the cheapest kit I can find in 1/72 is a £25 Alliance resin.

I've got a feeling there won't be anything quite right & I'll have to take the plunge (literally) & try smashing one, but keep em coming!

Slightly OT but does the 1141 look like a cross between a 'arrier and a XF-107?

I don't see too much F-107 in that.

Looks more like the love child of a Harrier and a Gnat.

'Arrier & Grumman F11F Tiger Scooter, the fuse's are as close as you'll get between two different types, especially in plan view.  Not perfect, but near as damnit for a kitbash.  I've picked up a Hase kit, aquired a Harrier wing from DaveT & I've got a Pavla MB Mk.9 bang seat to pop in it.  I've already got a Harrier GR.5 that I can rob the nozzles & intakes from, & a Gnat that may be able to donate it's tail surfaces.  I could build an aproximation with relatively little work, to get it as near as damnit it'll take quite a bit more work.

EDIT, Got name wrong! :dum:

The two pics you posted already looks very, very, similar. Another fantastic kitbash to come.

Missed this and Archies post, must have happened when I was putting mine together.  That's exactly what I thought upnorth, the nose & control surfaces look very like that of a Gnat, & I thought, great, a tidgy Harrier!  I'd spotted it tucked away in the appendices of BSP: Bombers, very little information on it. I compared the dimensions & they were very similar.

Trouble was, things didn't look quite right when I compared to a Gnat kit.  I then realised I'd got mixed up, I'd compared it to the, Fo.148 supersonic VG Gnat, which was quite a larger beast.  I was still intrigued by the mixed vector nozzles/straight through combo, it seemed (on the surface at least) the ideal soloution to the reheat/PCB problem.  Probably not, since no other studies looked at this arrangement.  Wether the P.1141 was related or to the Gnat or not I have no idea, although a swing wing variant was studied, as with the Fo.148.  No pictures of this I'm afraid, if I'm succesful with this one I'd like to try my hand at the swinger.

Thanks Archie, but I'm new to this business, I'd reserve judgement until you see the finished article, or at least when you see one of my other projects finished!
