Love it.
Simple, attractive, inspired, delightful.
I fancy a 357th FG one with the red/yellow checkers on the nose.

I love it!
I know some JMNs I could cheese off if I built something like that.  Maybe use F-14 decals from a CAG's plane circa the 1970's just to supersize the effect?.....

Is there the slightest posibility it was used as a 'hack'?  Failing that, if you were keen to irritate your local master race member, you could paint it up as a Tuskeegee plane.

I still like the simple diorama that was created by someone that used just the rear section of the fuselage of a Me-109 which included the rudder and horizontal stabilizers and set it in resin that simulated shallow water off the English coast where the thing came to its final stop.  That is by far my favorite Me-109 diorama and one that should be emulated often with anything that has a German cross associated with it.

Seconded!!!  Though perhaps a touch of effort to make it clearly a recovered and patched hack for them?

Excellent! One of my projects for this year is to whiff the Airfix P-80 into a Red Tail. I'll use one of the decal sets from the Academy P-51, either Creamers Dream or Ina the Macon Belle.

Excellent idea....P-80 in Red Tail markings.

I've some artwork from the Luftwaffe '46 comics of a captured '262 in Red Tail markings as well. Pop me your e-mail and I'll scan it.

I built Ina the Macon Belle for the "Black Employee Network" at work.

Would love to to a few more Tuskegee aircraft and really like that P-80 idea.
