We've definitely got a display table, know I've not been around much lately but I'm still really looking forward to this, so again who's gonna be there for sure and who's bringing models and we can try to get this organised and looking somewhat professional.

All right, it is now about 99% sure I will be there.
Will have at least 2 kits to display and possibly a 3rd (a 4th or 5th might actually be in the competition).

Was perusing the National site and found this info.

The host chapter is pleased to make a limited number of display-only tables available to IPMS Chapters, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), model clubs and groups of individuals. These tables will be available only on an application basis. No display tables will be available without approval of the host chapter.

Tables are 96 inches by 30 inches and will be located in the contest room. More then one table is available per display.
How To Apply
A letter from the individual who will be taking the lead and overseeing the display. The letter needs to contain the following information:
Ø Who will oversee the display and their contact information? This individual must be a registered attendee of the Convention.

Ø Names of those who will also be present at the table at various times
Ø Description of what the display will consist of or represent, approximately how many models, size, etc.?

Ø Number of tables required.
Further, the display will have to conform to a few basic requirements:
Ø The display may not advertise models for sale or model building services. Displays found violating this rule will be closed and removed.

Ø The display may include the advertising or sale of memberships in the organization producing the display.
Ø Two chairs will be provided so that representatives of the groups may man the table and answer questions regarding their group or display.

Ø Models on the display table many not be concurrently entered in the IPMS/USA National model contest.
Ø The display organizer must supply signage (at least 8.5 x 11 inches) that identifies the name and purpose of the display. This signage must stand or lay on the tabletop.

Ø Each model on display must have a small (business card or larger) note as to what the model is and who built it.
Ø All displays must be set up (even if not all models are actually on the table) no later then noon Thursday 23 August.

Ø All displays must remain in place until the conclusion of the Awards Presentation at approximately 9:30pm on Saturday the 25th of August.
Ø We cannot guarantee access to electrical outlets.

Leigh, you stated we have a table so I imagine the first parts have been done. Who is making a sign and how do we want to do the model notes?
I would prefer one individual with access to a nice printer print them up based on what we supply instead of each of us doing our own.

I tend to shoot pretty much everything that gets entered in the contest as well as some shots of vendors, people, tours, etc. I will definitely get pics of our set up and everything/everyone there.

I have also been asked by the National staff to take pics for the main site so hopefully I will have a new camera before I go.

I have a 95% chance of going. Shouldn't there be some form of being able to recognize each other at the nationals?

Right we should be on no problems I'll confirm with Nat this week, and I'm more than happy to print up some stuff. Been busy building at letting this run by me but I'll be more present from now on.

Woohoo,
Funds came in yesterday so I will be there Wed through Saturday. Doing the tours Thursday and Friday. Will have time to man the table probably a little on Wed, and some time on Saturday (maybe a little time on Friday). I am also shooting pics for the Nationals website and if I can get a site together by then, will post on my own.

I will shoot pics of all the Whiff stuff and put them here as well.

Staying in the Marriott during the contest. Actually heading down on Sunday with a stop in Vegas, then So Cal on Monday, Legoland on Tuesday, then drive up Wed.
Will have my 14 and 16 year old boys with me so may limit a little of what I can do but farming them off to Disney Thurs and Fri but will meet up when them at night in the park.

I will be there Thursday noonish. I managed to schedule a business visit while in the area too. I am already packing my air force for travel.
