I'm gonna be sick.   :(

I told Peter maybe he could turn it into a diorama-based model of an aircraft that hit the nets on an aircraft carrier (like that one done on FSM awhile back).

No more practising with your SigSauer P226 indoors, Peter!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Sorry to learn of the accident...I know the feeling very well. :(

OUCH!  Dang that was looking great, Too late for CPR? I'd hate to see such a beauty become an organ donor.    :(

hi
during building it was glued partially with ca glue...some manufacturers use PS plastic which will be brittle when you are gluing with aggressive ca glue.
during gluing I noticed some drafts on the surface but after sanding it was not more visible...so i was thinking ca glue will  stick together all the plastic bunch .
saddly...during painting yesterday the model fell from my hands and ...because it was glued with ca glue....it disrupted like a wine glass....
so...thats the anatomy of desaster....
the kit was the old esci/amt kit....so i think the plastic used at that time was something different...
I decided to scrap it...some things was not satysfying me so i decided to build another one from the tamyia kit...its to bad about the good decals but hey...
"allways look on the bright side of life..."

by the way...it was painted with the "new" (here in germany...) ModelMasterAcrylics ....great paints!!!! buyed much of them now...best acrylics ever used I mean....

You know wolfik it's bad enough you are such a master of scratchbuilding but now you've got to taunt us with some of the most realistic flak damage I've ever seen! Honestly, how are those of us far less talented than you supposed to keep up?
;)
Sorry to hear about the accident. Still, it seems quite salvageable.

I like the concept of the damaged plane diorama...maybe even a mothballed one?

Hey, at least yours was an accident.  The last disaster here was intentional.

I second this.

Please, save this beauty :(
