As you can see the main fuselage/wing construction is just about finished. I'll leave this to harden for a couple of days before rubbing down then adding/clamping the top wings !!

Well it's been a while since I posted progress on this puppy - since last time you can see the main construction is complete. It didn't take nearly as much filler as the RAFALE, the most where you would expect, around the top of wing to fuselage joint.

First paint on was Humbrol Satin White for the undercarriage bays, then an overall coat of Humbrol Light Ghost Grey (H127) as an undercoat. A few blemishes were found and attended to with a little wet 'n dry. As you see it here, I have misted on a thin coat of Xtracolour Light Aircraft Grey (X015). Another coat to follow than onto the Medium Sea Grey  :o

All comments and criticisms welcomed.

oooo yummy!  Is this the Revell kit?  So, what markings have you selected?
Man, we should have cloned twenties. Jackson wouldn't have given a poo-poo.

Good job on the wing attachments...I've seen other kits that were not that good.  My only problem is your work area is way, way, way too clean.

I've read in a couple of reviews that the fit of the airbrake it pretty rough in the stowed position.  How did you find it?  Are you planning on showing it deployed on the finished model?

Looks nice so far though!!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

The speedbrake fit is attrocious, simple as that. I had decided right from the start that I was going to build this as clean as poss, no 'sticky-out-bits' whatsoever, apart from the undercarriage. It didn't mattter what I did I could not get the thing to sit any better than you see it here.

However, with the final camo I have planned, when you see the completed thing you'll be too busy laughing over the colours to notice the poorly fitting airbrake  ;)

One reason I build thingies open is because the fit is often poor.
