I think you should do it up as an ejection seat test bird.

Cut the top of the cabin off and you should be able to get four bang seats in there for testing. Much more economical than the single shot tests they do from modified two seat aircraft. I bet a good deal more entertaining to watch too

After that just smack on Canadian AETE, Australian ARDU or good old Rasberry Ripple and your set to go.

According to "Beech Aircraft and Their Predecessors" three foreign military forces operated the Model 35:
Argentina (1 until 1967)
Brazil (5 A35 from 1950 to 1960)
Nicaragua(1 A35)

Lots of possibilities within the realm of Latin American wars and revolutions.

During 1965 the USAF tested a Model S35 V-tailed Bonanza modified for light ground-attack as the D33. The aircraft was fitted with a conventional tail group and six wing hardpoints, the inboard points stressed for 600lbs and the outboard points stressed for 300lbs. Ordnance that could be carried included 7.62mm mini-gun pods, 250lb napalm bombs, 272lb GP bombs and 2.75in FFAR.

BTW, the Model 1079 Pave Eagle II/QU-22 was basically a Model A36 Bonanza fitted with tip tanks and a Continental IO-520-B engine with a special gear reduction box to turn the prop at very low speeds for noise reduction. The A36 is a larger six-seat derivation of the original Bonanza.
The Model 1074 Pave Eagle I was a modified Model 35-33 Debonair...the first conventional tailed Bonanza derivative.

Y'know if I'd asked this same question on any other forum, it would have been met with either deafening silence or a howls of derision and contempt.

The folks that inhabit this forum are without doubt the friendliest, most open minded and hellpful that any modeler could wish to find. Thank you all for the terrific response, I got so many ideas now, I'm almost tempted to go out and buy another kit of the same ! - N O, Dork not another 'road trip', well not until after Christmas anyways  ;) .

Once again a sincere thanks to you all - you really are the best bunch of 'virtual' mates..... there's a lot of love on this board !
