I find that bottom photo fascinating 

You and me both Chris. It looks like a GIANT 3-poster version of one of the road simulators I worked on for many years, and I could just imagine the B-29 bouncing up and down on those actuators like my customers test cars did. 

But I hate to THINK of the size of the valves and hydraulic power supply they'd need to actually do that!

I'm hearing a  mechanic, staring at the underside of the (B29 No,  wrong!  sorry  )  , B50 and saying "Now I've got it up on the ramp, I can see that this job's going to cost you.  That's what happens if you insist on  fitting non-standard parts "

Except that's a B-50. The easiest visual difference is the engine nacelles. The other pic has a B-29, the one with the black undersides.
