F-20A and F-5A

me, like most modelers, were really dissapointed with the airfix 1/144th F-20 Tigershark kit. the parts barely fitted together and not to mention that hideous oversized canopy.

so, after spending 6 years on my shelf, looking like hell, i disided to fix her up.
so i gave the shark some brand new teeth. i took the canopy and the nose section from an old revell F-5E model with was rusting on the bone-yard, some launch rails from a trumpeter J-8II kit. and some new sidewinder and sparrow missiles.

the decals are spares from a revell A-10 kit, and are painted in the colors of the fictional 89ANG squadron based at Elsworth AFB.





i also had a second F-5E on the bone-yard and im busy converting it into an F-5A, for use by the Lebanese Air Force. the Ex-Swiss F-5E was one i replaced by a new one last week. still got some work on it though B)

Nice change over!  That is building with the near impossible...that kit is a real dog.  Neat stuff.
