There is also an "f-chrome" setting, which really brightened up the colours when I used it

Great stuff, Nevster ! Lovely job on all fronts ! Your work on those wee figures is incredible. In fact, the only thing that aludes to this being small scale is the track thickness.

As for camera tips, try using one, two, or even three or more layers of scotch tape over your flash while doing photography indoors. I've tried it it a few times, and it does work. You still get light from the flash, but not so much that it washes out the subject.

I actually got this tip from an article on how to take those naughty bedroom pics without looking like she just saw a ghost !
