at the Thales aircraft facilities in France, the first MRT (Multirole Transport) configured version of the Boeing 737-800, destined for the Leutonian Air Force. takes of on its customer deliveryflight.

the Leutonian Air Force has bought 2 of these aircraft, secondhand from American Airlines back in 2005, they were flown to Thales, where they were upgraded to 800 standard and the modified to MRT for Military use. these aircraft will join the 3 Dornier 448's already in service, and will most certainly give the LAF its overstressed transport fleet a boost.

pictures below were taken by the pilot of a Luetonian JAS-39C, witch escorted the plane after its fuelstop in RAF Waddington to its homebase at Sovlik AFB, Leutonia. aslso a good thing to point out is that there are discussions about modifying this aircraft into a tanker by 2009. however, the plans are still verry vague  ;)

seen here after its paintjob in the hangar.

Very nice. The fin flashes on the fin tips look very cool.
