Just a note to thank Martin H for organising the get together. A very enjoyable day was had by all.

My only disappointment was not seeing Radish's biplane rigging demonstration.

Those I remember attending were

Howard of Effingham
Ian the Hunter Gatherer
Lancer
Martin H
Narses2 (Chris)
Nev
Nick
Radish (Terry)
Rich
Thorvic (Geoff)

With apologies to anyone I missed out or got wrong (blame it on my age and the fact I'm currently sober).

And me of course.

Well, I did some painting and adding transfers (transfers....a special word for Chris).
I have now found a roll of wire I bought eons ago for rigging, and have added a bottle of white glue to my box of tricks

Yep, had a great day :)  Was good to finally meet guys like Nigel & Howard.

The musuem is excellent, the staff were very friendly and opened up the Hind, Mig-21 & (gasp! pant!) Vulcan for us     Thorvic has the photographic evidence of us sat in the black coal hole of calcutta (it was a very hot day!).

Still, not every day you get to climb round a Hind or sit in a Vulcan  :tornado:

Quote of the day definately belongs to Terry.  A discussion of Biplanes & rigging was going on, and the conversation turned to biplanes that weren't rigged.  Rad declares "I might rig it and do it as a whiff"

When you do meet him he'll remind you of a ten year old as he looks so youthful....to these tired old eyes anyway
