If I wasn't so strapped at the moment I would be sending some. Soon, I hope...

Well done Gary!

Thanks Guys, I really appreciate your helping the troops like this. Steve Bamford came through on ARC and the response is growing.
Off to be interviewed again tomorrow about it. Kinda weird, but all I care about is getting stuff to the troops!

Just checked the Royal Mail website and it states that you cannot send water-based paints of more than 150ml or solvent-based paints, so Humbrol tinlets are probably out of the question.
It doesn't specifically mention glue but does ban 'flammable liquids or solids' so guess they're out too.

I'm guessing that sending a modeling knife and blades in original packing with the kits should be OK.

Gary, there should be a large box of stuff with you soon from the UK.

Steve came to our club meeting and did a sufficiently good guilt trip/PR standup, and we SHOULD be getting something useful out...

Actually, one of the dozen or so hurdles we had to over come was related to paints, glues and solvents. We can't send aerosols, or lacqure thinners. Paint thinnner is a common product and will be supplied at their end. The tiny bottles and tinlets of enamels are approved on our shipment. I dunno about Royal Mail stuff, but I've been receiving paints and glues, one and two at a time, but hey, it adds up.

Anthony P from Ottawa,
Holla, thanks for the massive box of kits and goodies. I'm copying the letter and tucking it into each kit. Wonderful note, and again
