Hi Guys;

I have had them for a while but I couldnt log in here for the longest time as I had forgotten all of the info and am not clever enough to read down and see the "resend password" note. I would just get annoyed with myself and go onto something else I had to get done.

anyways, enough about how stupid I am, lets get onto the real reason I am writing this.

I have had the Arrow detail sets in 72nd for a couple of weeks now, and as you guys were pretty interested before, I thought I had better let you know they are ready to order.

here is a link to my Mastercasters website where there are some more images of the componenets and all of the ordering info.

MST72001

the price of the set is £12.99 plus shipping and handling.

any more questions or anything just drop me a line

Cheers guys, and thanks for looking,

Jay

Ohh  those do look rather tasty especially with the new canopy.

When will set B be available as i have an Arrow in need of a make over.

Cheers

Those look very, very tasty indeed.  As soon as finances permit, and a car needing rather extensive repairs make that look later rather than sooner at the moment, I'll definitely be ordering some.

Two Questions:
1)  Any chance of getting just the cockpit parts for use with some of the vac-forms out there?
2)  Any chance of Mk.2 and/or Mk.3 conversions?  The Mk.3 one would build on the Mk.2 one and could also be used as a basis for modelling the more extreme derlvatives studied.

Hi Guys;

sorry I've been busy packing and sending these things for the last few days, as well as doing some other stuff, visitor from Canada etc. so I havent been on the net at all.

I am debating the second set all together as I am not convinced it would be good value for money. The whole thing hinges on the wings. I wanted to do the wheel wells and the undercarriage as well as the burner cans, but the wings are too thin. So the option was to do the entire wing over, but packaging that would be a nightmare as well as expensive. However just the metal legs, wheels and cans would be alot of work for very little return as they would not be worth a great deal. We are currently looking at ways around the wing problem. It means that the 2nd set is looking increasingly doubful.

As far as getting the cockpit parts seperately I would have to say no. Unfortunately I get all of the components in one package so if I were to start seperating them I would end up with all sorts of spare parts that become useless. Plus several of the components on the inside wall of the cockpit are integral with the replacement nose so there would be a great deal missing. The only thing I could think of that would be usefull at that point would be the seats and to get them seperately I would need to order at least 100. If you want that many drop me a line and I will organiese something.

At the moment I have no plans for the latter marks as I am busy with other stuff at the moment and to be honest I personally do not know enough about all of that to do sonething like that justice.

Cheers guys,

Jay

Looking good, Jay ! I'll have to order a set, as well as the third 48th scale set I haven't got yet. If you read this, drop me a PM so we can hash out the details.

Cheers !

Jay, the later marks start with a different tail cone area and the Mk.3 and later add a new inlet.   There are, or were, station drawings for both the Mk.1 and Mk.2 available that show the contour differences and the new inlets are shown on a drawing the book by the Arrowheads.  The biggest question for the Mk.4 would be where the underwing droptanks went and what they looked like.

I'll have to see if I can find where I've got the info and get back to you.

QuoteAFAIK, the seats in the Arrow are standard Martin Baker Mk 6 seats, the same as the Buccaneer.  Aeroclub certainly do those in 72nd and possibly other aftermarket manufacturers.
Actually they were winterised Mk.4's ( they had a cold weather survival kit added. )

elmayerle;

Thanks for the info, I will wait and see what you come up with.

Cappy, I'll drop you a line in a mo.

Cheers guys,

Hi Geoff;

Unfortunately I can't post the image here without using an online image host so I will post the link to my website that has an image of exactly what is in the set.

mastercasters

And yes, the canopy is included.

Cheers,

Jay

Cheers Jay, just the way the website seemed to read it implied the Canopy was part of set B so thought i would ask.
