Saw this link on StarshipModeler.  I don't know where this contest was, but some of the work shown is really good!  Wonder if any of those builders are here?

I've never posted a link before, hope this worked!

Some of those were posted here awhile back.  I specifically remember the Cutlass/Harrier kitbash and the Stiletto with props.  I seem to recall there being some others by the same person, but I can't remember who did 'em.

There's some cool models in there!  I like the Phase II Iowa class and the special paint scheme Luftwaffe F-4J.

That X-3/Harvard combo is so bizzare as to defy description, and the X-wing Spitfire is the cat's donkey!

I think I know the builder of the battle-carrier - the Iowa with the flight deck aft. I'll have to check with him.

The sub diorama is impressive.

The Bone paint scheme is wild! Is that real?

I believe this was from the IPMS North Central Texas Scalefest in Dallas, Texas. I recognize several of the models, as they were entered in the Austin ASMS show earlier this year.

Sentinel Chicken

Yes, these were all at the IPMS Scalefest a few weeks ago here in Dallas. The pictures don't do that submarine dock diorama justice. You had to see it in person to really be stunned, the details abounded and you could spend an hour in front of it scrutinizing it for little details that the builder paid attention to.

The 1/72 scale Tu-160 Blackjack prototype was also stunning as the builder had detailed the living heck outta the thing but the different shades of bare metal was simply masterful.

Two "Havards" and an X-3??!!!  :o  :o     Inspired totally.. inspired.
The Cutlass/Harrier was just a bit OTT for my taste, but beautifuly built.

Yeah, one luft-diorama idea I find pleasing too.  ;)

Alvis 3.1

QuoteI quite like the Luftwaffe graveyard and the JG301 lineup of Fw190s/Ta 152s is rather neat too.
Luft '46 at it's best...most realistic!

Belated thanks (to SentinelChicken directing here again): I love the twin-boom 4-engined Cutlass & twin-boom radial Stiletto!
