In the "Project Cancelled" book there is much coverage of the Westland designs for Medium Lift Helicopters (MLH) for the UK in the 60s. However, there is little or no coverage of their other 60s projects, which are sometimes referred to in magazine articles.

Does anyone have details of the Westland proposals for the Wessex/Whirlwind replacement (eventually met by the Anglo French Puma)?  I have recently acquired a book on military helicopters secondhand which shows the Westland WG34 design for a Sea King replacement. This is a smaller sleeker version of the EH 101 Merlin.

Do Westlands have any historical society or association where one could find out more?

Murphy's 1st Law - An object at rest will be in the wrong place
Murphy's 2nd Law - An object in motion will be going in the wrong direction
Murphy's 3rd Law - For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction

Nope, sorry, that was the WG.30.

UK 75,

I suggest you also give www.secretprojects.co.uk a go - you might find the info you want there (and see many common names)
