Six engined one is awesome, would be a very AAR tanker.

Now there's an idea - refueling booms on each of the outer fuselages.

Thanks, these "VC-10Z" are lovely (while we have already presented them at http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...?showtopic=7853 and http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...?showtopic=1273 )
Thanks anyway to have posted, in case of.

And the British wonder why they lost their status as a world superpower? :)

I recently found myself inside a B747, and I must confess to some disappointment at the lack of a forward view. There's just some stupid lockers where the glazed nosecone should be...

Well a glazed nose would be very expensive as forward of the interior fixtures you have the forward pressure bulkhead and radar.
As far as having an exterior view is concerned, several airlines over the years have purchased the landscape camera installation that interfaces with the Inflight Entertainment System so that passengers can take a look outside if they so desire. It is also an option on the 787.

Its also jokingly refered to as the "landscrape" camera.

I think I have to build this...

Anyone have any spare Vic 10's to sell. Seriously. I don't know why but I'm hooked.

The 777 and 340 and i think 330 have them. I dont remember any other planes with cameras facing forwards. It would be nice if the sky outside could be projected onto the cabin interior. Just the loft and walls, not seats and passengers and floor.

Gary

Imagine if you could use lcd high def flat screens for floors and project everthing in actual scale beneath the feet of the passangers. Spooky!
