Paint has been kinda vexatious- cool and damp weather by local standards, and a can of spray paint found on the street of unknown vintage has been reluctant to cure, but it does eventually.  I've been playing a hair dryer over the model which seems to help.  Did a test run of uniform colors for the crew and decided blue worked better than khaki or white.  They are just 1/150 architectural figures so there is not much there.  That's not a briefcase, it's a dispatch case or a code book!  I think I am over placing a lot of tiny parts. That US T-28 with six parts per track link does not seem like a fun project, even with an Optivisor and a selection of Harbor Freight loupes... I've edited out a bunch of 2mm cleats, a net cutter and a pair of radio masts which I think is for the better.  Time is running out, but I have a rare 3 day weekend in the US AND fieldwork will be rained out all week long.  I've been missing a solid rain day.  Once the paint cures, a decal plan is in place and can be applied.

Getting there... It's not as frog green as this image shows. There are some heavy handed attempts at a a wash that I need to fix and figure out better.  Stance is improving but I haven't actually glued the tracks in place yet. Seems to sit a little high in profile, but an M3 halftrack unditching roller was not aesthetically pleasing, even with the long front overhang.

It's done, an amphibious bombardment submarine of some un-named power.  Lurking in the waters of The Gulf it can prey upon shipping with it's deck gun or bow torpedo tube.  when requires, it can haul out onto one of the many reefs of The Archipelago to provide a stable platform for the three dynamite guns hiding under hatches forward, and disappear beneath the waves...

Dynamite guns?

Someone's feeling brave!

I guess they'd be OK for nocturnal barrages on coastal towns but during the day the sub would be a sitting duck for conventional artillery.  :o

Good job mate.  Straight out of a comic or cartoon.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

It came out great! Maybe a submarine companion to the USS Vesuvius?

Weaver

Nice one!

Tracked/wheeled mini subs go back a long way. Simon lake's Argonaut (wheeled) of 1900 springs to mind, and I just saw a video the other day which featured an Italian design of tracked sub that was accepted for service in 1918 but never saw action because of the end of the war.
