How about a Canadian NORAD interceptor? Bigger than an F-102/106?

That could work, fitted out for high speed high altitude interception of Russian bombers, or maybe a more updated version carrying anti ballistic missile weapons. The bomber interceptor could carry a fair load of missiles too I dare say.

Interesting!  Suitably scal-o-rama'd a B58 could become the logical successor to the Avro Arrow.  The Avro CF-107 Arbalest, perhaps?  There's a backstory lurking here waiting for one of us to let it loose.  If no one else wants this concept, I might have a go.........

The front half of the B-58 centerline tank packed with missile launch tubes! Sparrows or Genies with folding fins.

With a bit of hacking about, a B-58 kit could BE an Arrow!

If we didn't have Arrow kits available of course, even inaccurate ones.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Er, Mike, you already said exactly that 2-3 posts ago.

Maybe it got re-posted during the site hiccup this afternoon?

Make it a four-ramjet BOMARC successor. Turn the pod into a
Navajo style booster.
That'd get the Arrow fanbois raging to the verge of apoplexy.
