Are you freakin' SERIOUS?  Do you mean that this is your initial re-entry into modeling after 20 years hiatus?  Or have you been modeling all the way through but just never finished a project until now?

Holy Frack, man.  If this IS your first modeling in 20 years, what will your next one be, then?

Cause this one is fantastic!  Not only clever concept but also well-executed.

Now, don't go showing us close-ups of problem areas or detailing any mishaps/flaws you might have.  (That's my claim to fame----heh heh).

Let the flawless pic you've already posted do the talking.

LOL @ John Howling Mouse!    I have to admit I built  3/4 of a Tornado about 10 years ago but that's about it except for the F-40 Ghost Mars Defence Force Craft I'm still working on that you can see here:

F-40 Ghost

Now that I am looking at this old Tornado kit I am getting some ideas! Hmmmmm, I do believe it might be interesting to give it twin tails since I stole it's tail for my ghost project.

Gulp!!!!    That's pretty impressive for a modeling re-entry.   :o

If I showed you what I first built when getting back into modeling a few years ago, you'd have a good laugh.

Then, you'd feel sorry for me!

I like your Mars bird. You are going to do very well in your bashing endevours. :)

No: as far as I am concerned, that will be a sigh of relief - yes, the first steps again may be as bad as mine  :( while reaching a few years later the top-level of JHM himself... :)

I have also a MiG37 Ferret box to be built :) , but there are so many other ones to be done previously... :(

Jeff, that's a lovely job on a model that was born to be whiffed.  ;)

Actually the colours on the real ones are...

Well, I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

That's a really good looking build, especially after so long of a break!! Great work!
I've got one of those too, back there somewhere.....yet to be built...sigh.

I looked at the photos on the other web page, and in the overhead shot looks like all the decals silvered. Did you put down a gloss-coat before applying them?
Not meant as a slight.......just a helpful hint, because I DO think your Ferret looks great!

BlackOps

No slight taken, thanks for the tip!  See, I learned something new today :)

I too was applying decals on flat paint for years.  Never had a clue as to why they'd silver up the way they do.   Finally read a "basics" article on FSM about using Future Kleer acrylic floor polish and the light dawned.

Now, if someone could teach me some great tricks about AIRBRUSHING, I'd really be ahead of the game!
