Rheged

Having taught  triplets, I'm sure that "something" exists between them, even if it's just a consequence of having been brought up together.  Initially, I couldn't tell them apart so they were collectively referred to as "Miss Westmoreland".  I eventually  recognised the differences between them.

If I meet any of them when I'm on one of my visits to Carlisle, they are still happy to be referred to as Miss Westmoreland, even though they are all married ladies in their early 50's!

I'm just saying there is no link between my identical twin sisters.  Doesn't mean it doesn't exist in others.

We had twins in our class at school, Paul & Martin Hindmarsh, in the first year we couldn't tell them apart, by the 5th we were suprised that others couldn't. They not only looked so different, but their characters were miles apart.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I had the Belcher Bros. in my year at secondary school, and I could NEVER tell them apart, or together!

I'm sure they took advantage of their similarity too, I know I would have if I'd have had a twin.  ;D

We had triplets the year behind me in school.  Two were identical, the third was, AFAIK, fraternal

Years ago I went to a funeral for a chap I worked with at YYZ, Charlie Tanti. He had two brothers, both in attendance. Now, if they stood side by side, and someone said they were brothers, you wouldn't believe them, they looked nothing like each other, But they both looked like Charlie! Not Identical, but if either one had stood next to Charlie (not easy while he was in the box ;D ) you would have immediately known that they were closely related. Weird.

Familial resemblance does some strange things.

I've seen a photo of a lady, whom I thought was someone I knew. An Aunt or something actually, but a dead ringer.

Expressions.

A flash of an expression can remind one of a rellie, even if there's no immediate facial similarity.

Aged between 6 and 9 months my youngest grandson reminded me of my late dad.  There were never any pictures of him as a child but there were certain looks that Wilfy had at that age that were so my dad.

So VERY true!  :-\

Now and then I see my Dad in my own reflection in a mirror!

And that's weird because I have MUCH less hair now than he ever did, but then I'm older than he ever got to by now. Not sure if that's good or bad really............

We think it's a Good Thing, Kit - we're glad you're still around.

On that, I'm sure I know I've heard my Mum or Dad come out in some of the things I've said...  :o
