Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Great build matey 👍 👌
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

But they didn't know that until some poor so and so had to try it out in practice.  It would of seemed the perffect soloution to a known problem.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I happen to have a bit of backstory for you ;)
The original plan for the PKZ-3 was to use the same Siemens electric motor as the PKZ-2, but with the heavy ground-based power cable and one crew member replaced by batteries. However it was soon realised that endurance and power reserve would be inadequate, hence the change to internal combustion.
The Kármán concerned was Theodore von Kármán. He moved in broadly the same social circles as the pilot's family, which was how the pilot had got the job. The unfortunate events made life impossible for him, which explains the well-known fact that he emigrated to the US and eventually became a leading engineer there.
Cheers.

I love it! Great result with what looks like a difficult kit. Too bad about Johan "Hackfleisch" Kovacs, the unfortunate pilot...

Thanks guys! I'm loving all the add-on back stories, they give a rich patchwork effect to it all
Don't let ageing get you down, it's too hard to get back up
